Company Profile: Meet Civic Eagle
Today's policy research methods are outdated and inefficient – but they don't have to be. Civic Eagle equips policy professionals with the tools they need to research and track legislation more effectively. By using innovative software to make legislative research smarter, faster, and less expensive, Civic Eagle helps organizations spend less time in front of a computer and more time advocating for important progressive issues.
Formed in 2015 by co-founders Damola Ogundipe and Yemi Adewunmi, Civic Eagle is committed to harnessing the power of technology to improve the democratic process for all people. The two started Civic Eagle by bridging Damola’s experience as an innovator and passion for social impact with Yemi’s knowledge of policy and eye for design. Together they now aim to stop the waste of resources from inefficient legislative research methods.
Over $35 billion are spent each year lobbying and advocating for policies at the federal, state, and local levels of government. This work requires careful analysis and tracking of legislation – a process that is currently manual, fragmented, and expensive.
Civic Eagle's recently launched platform, Enview, makes it easy for advocacy organizations to discover bills and keep up with any changes. The tool allows users to easily search for and filter legislation across all 50 states, by keywords, authors, and even bill status. Enview also provides smart recommendations for new bills that may be of interest to the organization and offers legislation alerts for a variety of policy areas.
Once important bills have been identified, Enview allows users to keep track of changes and updates using a personalized tagging and annotation system. Organizations can then analyze and evaluate bills collaboratively and efficiently, and even compare various versions of bills. Civic Eagle uses machine learning to track bills and predict the best advocacy method, as well as to measure the potential impact of legislation on communities at every level of government.
Currently, many state legislative websites are antiquated, leading advocacy organizations to either waste resources conducting research inefficiently or hire expensive contractors to track legislation for them. By offering a service where policy professionals can search, track, and evaluate legislation more effectively, Civic Eagle helps advocacy organization win their policy campaigns.
Enview is currently available for policy professionals, organizations, and companies to use at no-risk for a limited time. If you know of an organization that could benefit from advanced legislative intelligence, reach out to email@example.com to connect with the Civic Eagle team.
